Calm seas never make skillful sailors

calm seas never make skillful sailors
I came across the above quote this morning,
and I have to say that it suits my mind-set at this moment so well.
I guess most of us are petrified by failure that we even fail before we try.

This is November, and as those who've been with me awhile know,
that is my hectic month. Handling both internaland external stuff.
and doing something that i never dare to do-training.
My working path was not a smooth sailing ones
at times i met a lot of problems and fell into deep frustration.
But i know that's where i learn to be tougher
and that's why the quote above snagged my interest.

Big risks mean big successes or big failures?
But guess what I've discovered?
The failure is not taking the risks.
what it means is -
that there is no failure in anything we feel compelled to do
The real failure that lies beneath is to bury our desire to do it.

I'm a total failure.. haha

Yes, Come What May!!!

Through endless burden to bear
and countless other hidden fares
when price of growing is too high to tear
and complexity comes along the way
when stressful time goes on night and day
and sorrow welcomes herself to stay
come what may
i will hold it till my dying days

Through hopes i see sunrise
anticipating what lies beyond mind
Yet i go on with staggering fear
for someday my dreams will never appear
I shouldnt say tears are hard to forbear
on stumbling steps i'll find my way
come what may
i'll hold it till my dying days

Dance with My Father

Back when I was a child,
before life removed all the innocence
My father would lift me high and dance with my mother and me
and then Spin me around 'til I fell asleep
Then up the stairs he would carry me
And I knew for sure I was loved
If I could get another chance, another walk, another dance with him
I'd play a song that would never, ever end
How I'd love,
To dance with my father again
When I and my mother would disagree
To get my way, I would run from her to him
He'd make me laugh just to comfort me
Then finally make me do just what my mama said
Later that night when I was asleep
He left a dollar under my sheet
Never dreamed that he would be gone from me
If I could steal one final glance, one final step, one final dance with him
I'd play a song that would never, ever end
'Cause I'd love,
To dance with my father again
Sometimes I'd listen outside her door
And I'd hear how my mother cried for him
I pray for her even more than me
I pray for her even more than me
I know I'm praying for much too much
But could you send back the only man she loved
I know you don't do it usually
But dear Lord she's dying To dance with my father again
Every night I fall asleep and this is all I ever dream
