Candy House

Today, I chatted with my high school best friend, whom i sat with for 3 long years. We shared some odd dreams. I intended to write down here.

This morning, she told me she wished to have a little home that she could decorate and cook in a nice kitchen. I told her i wanted a small cottage, like the one in Hansel and Gretel, a candy house. I wished the cottage was made of rocks or woods, can be bricks also, but the bricks shall not be painted, if it would to be painted, it has to look colorful, like candy. I will feel happier if i live in a colorful house.

I told her too that I wished i live in a candy house and made nice warm soup everyday, like a witch...Witches always make soup, their portion! Haha...but my soup is soup of love. Lovely herbal soups that make us strong and healthy. My friend thinks I'm going crazy, ahhaha... but I really love to cook soup. I want a small and comfortable home where i can make delicious food everyday... I enjoy food :p

Actually, I know, sometimes my dreams are ridiculous. But i just want to dream so that my concentration is not on my sadness, dreams could push away your sorrow, temporary. And then, we have hope once again, in our lives.

My Convocation - Day 2

Today, I woke up rather late. It is usual for me to wake up late at home, because they bed is too soft, the pillows are too warm. I couldn't resist myself. When i got up, the breakfast is ready, oh..this will never happen to me back to the place where i work, cause i have got to do everything all by myself.

I forget what i did in the morning, in fact I planned to spend this day with my mother, who somehow, can be said single handedly raised me up. Unfortunately, in the afternoon.. I got a text message from my friend asking if I would join them to see the convocation of our ex groupmates back then in foundation year. Surprisingly, I said ok, and left all my plans behind. I thought, maybe just an hour or two would be fine.

After all the photo shooting, and brief conversations with them.. I was wondering, on that actual day of my convo, will they be coming, of cos the answer is no. because, by then all of them would be rushing home. The thought of it made me rather sad. It would be my last chance to see them. I was glad that i decided to come after all.

At 7 something, one of my friends said they do not know where to go as some of the people in the gang has already left, and they do not have any plans. Out of simpathy, I relunctantly promised them that I will bring them around. Thinking that I had to let go my plans with my mother, I feel rather disappointed, and I actually told her that I was so sure I will come back home for dinner. Sometimes, i mean all the time... things don't go the way you plan, why? For 22 years i live, i still have no answer to that. ha ha

Anyway, I told them that I do not want to drive.. yes, in fact i hate driving, i hate parking. I would do anything to avoid that... Haha what a selfish person i am... So, we went to another friend's house to get her car because there were only one car and we had 7 people with us. After waiting for my friend to clean up and dress up, we then headed to Peranakan Restaurant. Yeah, it was local food, the baba and nyonya delight. By the time we reach there, it was already 9 something. The people said the kitchen was closing. How could they treat us like that? Nevermind, we waited for them to check with the chef. Then, finally they let the 7 little hungry dwarfs to dine in :D.. But they gave us the bill before we finished our meals... bad service!

Later, we had a stroll at jonker street. I could tell that the entire street was flooded with MMU students... yes, Malacca is small... but this street is warm, it brings so many people from different parts of the world to a little town which used to be a huge empire. We met many of the old friends there, it can be said that this place brings a lot of strangers together as well as reunite the long lost friends.

We chatted, laughed from the front to the back of the street. We were crazy. Then, we got thirsty, we sat down at a small stall for desert! Yeah, it was great.
The night ended like that.

Will this be our final gathering? I hope not.... :(

My Convocation - Day 1

I have been looking forward to my convocation ever since i got a job. Why?
It's not because i get to declare myself as graduate, not because i get to wear the smart looking robe, not because i get to bow to siti hasmah...
It's because, I get to see all my friends again, and take a final snap shot with them.
On friday morning, 5th of August, I woke up at 5am and prepared to leave to my sweet home town, Malacca. We had planned many things ahead, we planned to eat dimsum as breakfast, therefore we had to leave earlier.

But too bad, some friends came rather late and we got to wait for them...
I drove at 110 - 120 km/s on the rather deserted highway as it was early in the morning. It actually felt good. But i remained silent for the whole trip, because i wanted to concentrate on vehicles next to me... there might be some drunken drivers.
At last we reached malacca and picked up Jacky at King's hotel and then headed to my favourite yong tau fu for breakfast, too bad we couldn't eat dimsum as we were running late.
At 9 something, we went to the rehearsal, a uselss rehearsal which wasted our time. There were no parking and we got to park at some rocky fields. Yikes... it really ruined my car! I hate mmu!
Then we went to verify and test our smart card, collect the "smart" robe... and do tones of stuff that took away the entire afternoon. Finally... i sent my friends to the condo they are staying.

At 4.30, i managed to get back home to have a quick shower...but oh my goodness... I locked the door to my own room and the car keys were inside! Such a forgetful pig I am... But thank goodness the carkeys were left near the window. It took me some time to hook it out and grab my friend's shoes out of the car, because...it 's time for studio photo shooting. Yeah~
The photographer was a professional man. He wanted to portray a perfect graduation photo for us and therefore he has strict demands on the way we smile, the way we stand etc... I couldn't believe we took 3 hours for photo shooting. We didn't even have our dinner. 15 hungry youngsters.

Tired, hungry i felt. We then ate fried oyster, wan tan mee...yummy...Nice delicious dinner..
Tang tang tang...time to go back home lo..... Lead them back to their condo, we took some pictures... and rushed back home to sleep. My gosh..i was so exhausted.... Lie straightly to slumberland. I miss you, my bed~!

Time to relax

Thinking back when i was a kid, i like to talk to myself....
I guess all the kids do that, they talk to themselves, or their imaginary self.
We imagined we are someone else, it was quite fun. And then you played two different characters.
Yeah, if adult does that, you would have thought he had gone nuts. But kids are different, they have their way to express their creativity, and to let their imagination run wild, so when we are still young, it's good we try different things, different crazy things.
At least, when we are old, there's something to look back, some happy wild memories to smiled at. and we will find how contented we are to our lives. It wouldn't be marvellous without a few times running in the rain, riding on a pony backwards, skipping a few times classes just to get a signature of ur favourite pop star. It doesn't matter, just a few times ;)
but, well... have we ever tried that? No, or maybe yes..but not that daring... because we are very self cautious asians. Maybe, it's time to relax... Life is beautiful, you know...

My Romance

My romance doenst need a waltz under the starry night
together counting the stars that shine so bright..
or having dinner with sweet candlelight

My romance doesn't need a walk along the beach
Hearing waves while enjoying the breeze
admiring the moon far beyond our reach

My romance doesn't need a walk at the park
in the lily-covered ponds feeding the ducks
singing along with the lovely larks

My romance doesn't have to take place at a good old church
making drawings on the bench of birch
along with the rhythms of the mountain birds

My romance doesn't need an exotic adventure
surviving jungles and mountain peaks together
ancient ruins and cities waiting us to discover..

My romance doesnt need a huge mansion and awesome summer house
Reading novels on the red velvet couch
waiting for sunrise beneath the milky clouds

My romance doesn't need honey, sugar or pie
My romance is the sweetest thing in life...
if my romance needs you...
